REally very little SE can do. Go find out how many players used Windower and ApRadar, and how effect SE was able to deal with them. Thing is, it is very undetectable unless they employ process scanning software (remember Blizzard's Warden) which is VERY controversial. I don't think SE is going to go with that.● People are still using 3rd party softwares and from what I hear also teleport hacks? Banning only 9 people? Surely there are more than 9 people since masses of people run to the spawn locations!
You still have High Allagan Gears as well as High Allagan weapon, which is still good enough to do Second Coil. I suppose they could raise the HA gears to 115, but really. Kind of a moot complaint there.● Sands and oils are UNLIMITED with NO WEEKLY CAP. As someone who is a t9 raider posted in another thread, they are limited to only maybe 1 sand per month so they can share with their whole team due to weekly lockouts. Meanwhile anyone who can spam AOEs, flashes, medicas whatever can spend a day hunting and get a sand. The complaint isn't that "noobs be getting good gears" but the complaint is that those who can clear coil are getting less reward for their effort. Why even do coil? You can zerg your way to i110 in no time right?
Soldiery still have weekly lockout. at 450, at most people can get one gear a week and that's just rings, feet, gloves, etc. Body and legs still take two weeks and weapons even longer. It's not like the mark hunting system would suddenly make EVERYONE i110. They still have to get the gears, and they are slowed down thanks to the said weekly lockout.● Hunt rewards are so good most people are not doing any other content. On my server there are barely any Ramuh ex parties. Why? Because Ramuh ex drops i100 rings and i100 weapons. But who needs that when you get easily get soldiery from hunts, geta piece of a gear, get your oil/sand and bam you got 110 item/weapon. Why even bother learning mechanics of a new fight when you can just zerg your way to end game gear!
I agree with this really, but that's just how players are. There's very little to do, but just hope that people play fairly. At least ANYONE can still get credit just for fighting the mobs, unlike FFXI.● This system promotes very unfriendly play. Sure there's linkshells for hunts, but some people tend to keep it all secret. Some other threads have shown people charging MONEY to get into the linkshell. Even with the increased HP, people be scouting maps, following random people like stalkers thinking they're going after a mob. Instead of working together like intended, people are working against each other.
I agree with this 100%. Daily/Elite hunting is a complete joke. The rewards should definitely be higher. It's merely fractional to just hunting marks.● For casual players who do not have time to join a link shell or hunt for hours on end...the daily hunt rewards are STILL A JOKE. Killing 3 monsters gives 1 MEASLY SEAL. Killing a fate boss gives 2 MEASLY seals. Killing an A rank monster in less than 2 minutes gives 20 SEALS. I saw in the update that you are "considering increasing the daily mark rewards". Please stop considering and just DO IT. As it stands the current rewards are pathetic and demotivating!
Quite honestly, the HP should be scaled to how many people are there, but I don't think that's really an easy thing to employ. A fix is better than nothing. After everyone's multiple suggestions and complaints, only increasing the HP is just putting a bandaid on the issue:

If you really think about it: 2.4 and 2.5 will be release by then.
Meaning the content is working as intended: It kept us busy until the next patch. Whether you agree or disagree, that was clearly the intention on making this return such low marks aside just "stumbling" upon them.
The HP isn't just a band-aid it's basically them surrendering to people who want Hunts to be this inclusive server wide loot pinata. The fact that they had such low HP to begin with was probably indicative that this was never the way the content was intended to be played (Whether through naivety or sheer stupidity they didn't imagine this would be the outcome when you forcefully insert raid tier rewards into content that is both mindless and capless).
The solution isn't to make it even MORE viable for people to just zerg these, it would've been to make them LESS zerg friendly or give less incentive for zerging. Instead they just said "Ok we give up on fixing this system for now, but at least let's make sure all the whiners who are just bitter that they're not getting in on the free rewards in a system that wasn't working correctly to begin with are satisfied a bit more".
Assuming most people went into 2.3 with at least their main character in weathered gear, each person could probably use 3-5 sands (depending if they are trying to bis with coil gear) so there's plenty of people who have gear that they can upgrade. Again specifically I am complaining about sands because the tomestone and oils are available in Syrcus Tower which is a fair opportunity to obtain both and actually requires you to put effort into getting it.
Please don't say stuff like this.
A full run of Coil takes 1 hour. The effort involved to get to the point where we can 1 hit our way through Coil is far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far more effort than Zerging hunts.
Yep, most people who have been playing since 2.3 have full soldiery by now.Assuming most people went into 2.3 with at least their main character in weathered gear, each person could probably use 3-5 sands (depending if they are trying to bis with coil gear) so there's plenty of people who have gear that they can upgrade. Again specifically I am complaining about sands because the tomestone and oils are available in Syrcus Tower which is a fair opportunity to obtain both and actually requires you to put effort into getting it.
You don't have to ban ALL the cheaters to make a point. Even if temporary, they are probably placed on some watch list too.
- If they stop cheating, win situation for SE.
- If this small ban deters casual cheaters, win situation for SE.
