Meanwhile in the SE Headquarters:
I tried the method, but as I mentioned in a previous thread, I won that fight in a legic way. No biggie for me. I'm glad this was adressed.
Not sure why people kept missing the point, it's not about Titan-Egi's ability to tank, Titan-Egi tanking without getting the orbs is the problem. It has nothing to do with tank-type or solo-type just because of this one fight. They might as well change Titan's description from "tank-type" to "solo-type" now. It would really be awesome if SMN could function as a main tank with Titan or even as a reliable off tank. Hopefully this will see some light when the Egi adjustments come at level cap increase.
Just imagine the fight doesn't require the tank to get 3 orbs to tank Shock Strike...Yep, there you go.
A world with no need for tanks would have been glorious.
:-(
I'm surprised how fast this was fixed considering T2 was never fixed, and nothing was ever done to help melee when "Ranged Only" groups were all the rage for Garuda and Ifrit - which lasted the entire patch cycle.
It was cool that titan-egi had a use, but I do ultimately think it needed this change.
Questing is like participating in an Old Spice Commercial - Talk to me, talk to him, talk to me, talk to him, Now Talk To Me...Sadly, you are not done, back to him, look there, its that mob I never liked, back to me, back to him...I'm in the Waking Sands.
It's still a tank type. Do warriors and paladins take "absurdly low damage" from ignoring 1 (obvious) mechanic? Let's not ignore the obvious. They might as well change Titan's description from "tank-type" to "solo-type" now. It would really be awesome if SMN could function as a main tank with Titan or even as a reliable off tank. Hopefully this will see some light when the Egi adjustments come at level cap increase.
When your queue is 30-100+ minutes, chances are you won't immediately drop out unless you know you won't get a penalty.
