Love and am both leery of the idea..
Certain achievements could and would encourage bad behavior (poor game play choices in order to meet the achievement). I'd try to pick the most neutral and or generic not for cool sake but just to prevent silly playing. Though there are some really great specific and well titled achievements in here I wish I could get!
While I agree with this, maybe in fact allowing some of these 'risky' playstyle achievements would help change things up a bit strategy wise/team dynamic wise and = new battle plans. So kinda on both sides I guess. (even the 'drone' achievements now could be considered to fall under leading players to make poor choices for the sake of an achievement....if your job is to guard a post....and you charge up top, you potentially screwed your team....so it's all part of the play) So I agree, that some could = 'OMG why are you guys chasing a damn achievement!' moments....I say /meh, that's just part of the game. (and no, I don't adjust my strat to earn achievements faster...I'll get em in time).
You could add clutch rewards I suppose, but I think it would be best to make it a team wide effect too then. Like stealing a drone under 10% will earn you a few more points than normally killing it. Risk v rewards, I completely agree with you that you can play around with that idea. Could keep it personal but that would most likely lead to disunity ("im doing this for /me/, vs a team effort to do it for /we/).While I agree with this, maybe in fact allowing some of these 'risky' playstyle achievements would help change things up a bit strategy wise/team dynamic wise and = new battle plans. Was serious though, fun ideas in here- just please don't make a Leeroy Jenkins achievement
"winning X games" being the most generic and obvious me is we and greeting this achievement has zero conflict lol. Now only a few more for a special chocobo steed >.>
