I couldn't agree more with the OP.
"Move me on to any black square, use me any time you want. Just remember that the goal is for us to capture all we want."
My point is you could just as easily do the same thing without this radar. The thing's detection distance is so small (at least in the SS of Highlands people keep posting) that people can easily see what the app is telling you anyway. Only advantage I see is that you can see whats on the other side of a wall without getting on top of it.
You sig .gif is awesome btw
The cheaters are a disgrace for the Final Fantasy series and fail at life.
To that point so is everyone who cried until they got everything for no effort.
How many games in the Final Fantasy series gave you everything with no effort on your part? XIV 2.0 is BY FAR the easiest game in the entire series.
Reporting someone and expecting them to be instantly banned is also the new norm apparently.
It was/is pretty prevalent in FFXI so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. That said, I still report gil spammers every chance I get. It's just a drop in the bucket. Once you understand just how many people out there use this garbage, you understand SE would have to kill the entire game to remove all the cheaters.
50+ people reporting the same pvp botter for 4 or 5 months straight should get someone banned... . it's not like it was a question if the people were botting. everyone knew they botted. The issue is SE just doesn't seem to care about people cheating.
If they did they would have at least made a statement saying that the radar bots are against ToS after the 30 or so threads on the subject.
When there were subjects on win trading people were bragging about it saying "I'm doing it because the game is horrible, if they can't design a fun game it's justified to cheat"
instead of doing anything about statements like that, SE closed the thread.

I love how I make a post about how what most people are trying to do is explain to you the scope of these addons and you reply with a post MISTATING THE SCOPE OF THESE ADDONS. You really could not give me any better gift. People using this addon do not know exactly where the mob spawns! They don't do that, what they do is give you a mini-map radius. Honestly Square should dedicate it's next patch to the proud individuals that have wasted countless hours correcting you and your hyperbolic ilk on these forums.
You're in such a frenzy you don't care what the addons do. You speculate and invent functionality of the addons simply because you're out of control and the few people trying to talk reason to you have it implied that they're cheaters. You're just the worst. All you want is some feel good message board freak out. Call for bans that you know can't happen, complaining about cheat programs with functionality you dreamt up, and declaring anyone who isn't acting like you a cheater.

It doesn't matter what the third party programs do. They could do nothing more than dye your outfit for free and it would still be cheating. And why should we just not care? That's how it starts, you know: eventually(if it hasn't happened already) there will be parties and more demanding it be installed like mumble and teamspeak, except those do not screw with the game for your own benefit.
This is not something that should be swept under the rug, it is a concern that needs to be addressed.
