    You autoface whatever you are attacking when you shoot it, and your camera is set to follow behind you, so when you attack, you face the enemy, and the camera snaps around behind you and now you are running towards it. If you want to learn how to kite on bard, go watch some WoW hunter videos, you can learn all about jacking your character and camera at the right angles so you can run pretty much full speed away, but still auto attack behind you, and you can jump and spin to use your abilities.

    You can turn auto face off. But yeah proper use of KB/M is better for kiting.
