Sorry, I'm confused. What exactly are you asking for? A little plaque that says Congratulations to the SE dev team of 2011 for turning FFXIV around, and you want it in a pretty highly detailed place?

I want things the game needs; a mail system, a larger trade window, a challenge worth relishing the win, etc. This is just a whimsical idea that I thought might be nice: I had the thought, I liked the idea, I shared it.
I know that there are players who aren't that interested in the emotional investment of the game, the memories made there, or the meaning behind any of the game world's contents - and I know that they'll be quick to say this is a waste of time - but when I left FFXI, that's what stayed with me.
It'd be nice to see a little break from always just referring to things as a binary of "Broken" or "Fixed," and just enjoy something for what it is. In an MMO, was there ever a place that it didn't benefit you at all to visit, but you did because you liked being there? Have you ever been disappointed by a final product lacking everything from the preview that made you excited for in the first place? If you had an idea that could give you a more favorable result for each scenario while forming a better connection to the game and raising a little morale, why not at least say it outloud?
I doubt you're trying to rain on the idea by simplifying it so much - but if all I wanted was to put a "Good Job" sticker on Yoshida-san's shirt, I could always just mail him one.

I'm all for this. There were some pretty amazing places in 11 that were out of the way.
And yes, there were many a place I'd go just to go, for no other reason than the emotional attachment/ooo look at the pretties. (Read: anywhere in Zi'Tah, omg that zone.)
