I don't see how putting accuracy on the bow would be a bad thing. Most people saying that are saying that because they are assuming most bards will have mostly high allagan armor which isn't going to happen without lots of luck. Accuracy is never a bad thing for bard, the main thing is the weapons base damage...But I'm sure someone will say that if you go 44 crit/31 det you will do 00.02% more damage over the course of a fight or something lol. You will be doing just fine if you add accuracy on your novus bow...

Accuracy is bad for any class if it puts them over the relevant caps for content.

I've maybe seen one bard in full high allagan armor, but the majority will still be in weathered gear which won't put you at the accuracy cap. Just like you can use food to get yourself to the accuracy cap you can use food to get more det/crit also. What I'm saying is if bards want to put accuracy on their weapon then their is nothing wrong with that.

If you get the high allagan trousers and your weapon has no accuracy on it, unless you have every other HA piece, you're going to be hard pressed to hit the accuracy cap.

I think that's something many Bards are overlooking.

Your main solution is Auroral Accessories. The earrings, wrist and ring are your BiS slots which gives you 17 + 17 + 12 = 46 accuracy in weathered conditions alone. For head, gloves and hands you can used crafted which will give you access to accuracy too.

That's what I did during my upgrade path to i110 now.

    Hi everyone,

I'm almost finished my Novus Bow and I'm currently planning 44 Critical, 31 Determination, but I still have a chance to possibly infuse some Accuracy. I'm unsure since the new 2.3 gear has released and there's more options once again for Accuracy. While I know this isn't best in slot gear, there are plenty of options to get to Accuracy cap for Turn 9.

Most Bards now might be already using Rosenbogen, but also the new Bow from Ramuh EX (Thunderdart) doesn't have Accuracy.

Amon's Breeches look pretty good if you do require Accuracy.

Amon's Boots Decent Accuracy with Critical (if you don't have Turn 6 HA boots).

Amon's Coat While not better than Auroral Coat, If needed, you do have the Accuracy option here.

    Amon's Sash Yep. More Accuracy.

Amon's Sleeves and Amon's Hat are the two items that don't have Accuracy. The sleeves (gloves) look great if you don't have High Allagan.

Honestly, You should be fine with Accuracy if you aren't doing SCoB. Hopefully the gear calculator will be updated and we can check out what's optimal with different melds, but regardless, it's really up to you on how you much you want to invest into Novus. There's enough gear now to be able to swap here and there.

    {Take care} and {Have a Safe Journey}!

Sacrificing dex to gain accuracy outweighs the benefit of having the extra crit and determination on novus.

Since your on the same server Lunar, are you planning on using the stats you posted before?
I believe currently am sitting at 475 for accuracy but still am unsure what stats to do and materia to use and so on
SE sure do a wonderful job explaining Quests like Novus, not

hmm i was think about going, 44 crit 16 Determination, and 15 Accuracy. the dmg difference of 15 Determination you wont even notice, and the price for IV Determination is around 300k. i have spent around 2.5 mil just on the crit. so now as a poor man i think i will take the cheaper route and just get the nice DMG boost for them weapon stat.

There's no use Lunar. These guys never learn.

God forbid they change their food/accessories to accommodate extra acc and actually be more prepared for the next endgame caps.
