Zephir is making more sense than everyone else who's trying to misrepresent his point of view. I'll sum it up for all the self righteous snobs here who think they're better:

He's saying that a real friend wouldn't sit back and let their friend do something that would cause themselves (or others) harm. What's wrong with that?
