    Blame the players, i was having fun hunting until a bunch of afkers decided to make hunt liknshells so they could get to every hunt in time w/o having to look for them.

    I was killing an A rank with a random guy, we had it under the 50% when a full LS appeared and restarted the mob by getting it out it's spawn area to zerge it in matter of seconds nullifying all my credit.

    The players are destroying the system, want it to work like it is supposed to? stop telling the afkers, make them work for it, it's called hunt for a reason.

    This is an oversight that is simply unforgivable. How could they possibly think that the average player would respect and appreciate their fellow players enough to work together so everybody gains maximum credit from a monster? There's too much faith put in the general playerbase with this system; specifically that people would respect other players's needs to attack things for a set period of time to gain credit.

    And I wish that was sarcasm but it's not. It's the damning truth. Combine this with the fact that when I purposefully waited to let people engage it on my latest A Rank I got nothing, it's a terrible, terrible system. It's a vicious cycle of greed. They expect us to work together so everybody gains, yet doing so can actually lead to us not gaining full credit? You can't blame people for murdering something as fast as they possibly can when the system is designed so that this is their only chance of potentially getting maximum credit.

    Because they are my friends? Because they shared a previous hunt with me? Because, really, why shouldn't I? Because it's nice to have server open world content and the community working together for once? I am in Hunt LS, a lot of us are working together to try to find the S Rank though the world, I'm checking one area, they are checking another.

    Oh let's not get too crazy. It's basically a zerg fest. People sit around sharing locs, and then everyone hops on top of it. People are just camping and zerging, that's it.

    I don't necessarily agree with the poster you're replying to. Though it's amazing to think this is the open world contested content you've been waiting for.

    Eh, you know what they say, beggars can't chose. I'll take anything resembling player interaction over FATE or yet another instanced dungeon. (Yeah, I'm not going to pretend NM in XIV are that different from FATE... but at least you have to communicate a bit with these)

    Eh I can understand where you're coming from. I'm personally going to wait to see if they refine the system. If I want to farm Sands and Oils I'll do it, but I just can't see this as something I'd enjoy in it's current incarnation.

    Also it's OBVIOUSLY not intended to be zerged the way it's being zerged. I mean it really is just free Oils and Sands, I realize you may be thirsty for this kind of content but please realize your server is not putting this on farm because they love open world hunts.

    You're not really understanding the point very well. When something spawns it's dead within a minute, sometimes less. Everywhere. It's not just the current Elite Target. On Sargatanas, when an A or S Rank spawns, it's swarmed by close to a hundred people (I'm getting the "Hughhhhhhhh!" roaring of battle sound effects sometimes) within a minute or two. Illegitimate means of knowing exact spawn locations aside, this is a huge design fault. The monsters simply don't have enough HP to take this kind of attack and last very long. I'm not over complicating anything, I'm just saying it how it is. If Balmung is not similar enjoy your hunts. Sargatanas is a mess for hunts and it has been since release.

    If you are talking about the weekly ones you're right, those need a rework.
