I agree emphatically. I'm really getting tired of having crafting mats show up in dungeons after beating any boss, let alone the final boss! I had enough myth to buy a full i90 before I even had a single piece of i70 Darklight armor.

Put the mats in the side chests, they already get ignored by most groups I run with, so it'll give us a reason to open them.

I'm not a crafter, and most of the mats I get go for hardly anything on my server. I run dungeons because I want fun gear, even if for glamouring or seals alone.

At the very least, let us be able to buy some of this gear with myth in the same we we can buy some of it with GC seals. I run dungeons for gear! I don't have hours and hours to run the same places over and over. I feel like I'm paying them to let me work a second job.

This looks contradictory. If you don't want mats, of course you wouldn't want to open the side chests that only have mats. Most people don't want mats, and roll greed and use the gear or mats to sell them, or roll pass. Side chests would remain unopened probably.

About Darklight gear, before 2.2 you needed many weeks of capping myth tomes to get the ilvl90 myth gear, and in the meantime you had bought Darklight gear for several classes with the philosophy tomes. They changed that, introduced new ilvl70 gear, and eliminated the philosophy tomes so that Darklight is not that easy to obtain. The dropped gear from the dungeons is either very temporary, since you will easily have something better, or you want it for vanity or collection. Making vanity a bit difficult or requiring grinding doesn't seem that bad to me (maybe because I don't focus on that.)

But at the same time mythology tomes have become easier to obtain and with no weekly cap, CT has no weekly cap nor Coil, so gearing up is much easier.

Things change so much: having the Darklight gear like most not too advanced level 50 players was not cool in 2.1, and now that nobody wears Darklight some people want to vanity it.
