Anyone remember those near card mini-games in earlier Final Fantasies?

Wouldn't it be great if they added something like that to FFXIV and let people sit down at tables and play them in FC/Personal spaces? Yeah, I think so too. Hah

I was wandering around the housing district today and thinking about how all these companies have cool houses, but mostly there isn't much reason to loiter. Some mini-games would go a long way towards giving reasons, and who doesn't love card games.

I've heard that SE are meant to be working on adding a card game with the Gold Saucer casino/theme park some time in the future. But nothing is known for certain at the moment sadly.

At the moment though, the closest to a 'card' game (and I use that term very loosely), in FFXIV is this horrid thing: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Parley

It was originally in version 1.0, but it's now been brought back in 2.3 and is unlocked by completing the new Hildibrand quest line - once unlocked it can be accessed through your inn room by clicking on the 'Toy Box' target on the shelf.

To hell with Parley, I need my Triple Triad fix! It was one of the best card games I've ever played in a RPG and by far the most addictive.

Yes. It's so much better than TT.
Would be cool if the cards were super rare drops from just normal mobs with every mob having it's own card. Building a pack could an epic quest in it's own right and it would revitalize all of the barren landscape as open world content.

Well Tetra Master was online at one point, so, it's not really out of the realm of possibilities. Maybe someday.
