I wouldn't mind if they let materia into FL. Honestly though, I don't even notice gear or anything. Map movements and coordination are what win you FL matches. You'll feel good in your heart that your efforts aren't wasted, but the material would really bring a trivial difference. As for morale, glad it's gone. You don't have to give an arm and a leg to kill someone. if they had let morale into this game mode.....omfg I'd still be playing my first match. Morale did a LITTLE bit for damage but mainly it was for defense. This would allow people to live for too long...and allow for reinforcements to arrive. The FL is about skirmishes.

And that's only the head piece XD in total I have 68DET melded to the gear set, 41CRIT, and 35ACC so I am a little bit annoyed that I lose all that. Mainly because unlike the PvP gear itself, materia isn't as near as difficult to get. Sure it's costly but you can spiritbond up to 12 pieces of gear at the same time (13 if you do a shield). Sure it completely evens the playing ground and stops the rich from over powering those who don't have it. But gil isn't hard to come by in this game and spiritbinding has only gotten easier if getting gil is an issue so any sort of customisation is being taken out. Again, I can understand why as SE already screwed up PvP once, so all these restrictions should stop most of the bitching which came with the morale stat.
