    or..like this

Going to go out on a limb and say that's an M1 Garand. Also going to say, "Who cares?" The idea is simple, make it yours. Clearly that particular M1 passed to a bronie and they wanted to make it theirs. And they definitely made it theirs. Also looks like they cleaned it up, too, as an M1 in good condition is pretty rare. Only 'strike' I see is they painted it. Believe it or not, that's not a rare thing, though most customizations tend to be... lower key. I have to say the same about the new customizable AF, let them be pretty, who am I to tell them not to?

Imagine if Alexandrites were sellable on market board, and the price was around 1M each.
Would you say that your Novus relic cost 75M (not counting materia) ? Even if it's easy to gather Alex on your own, just at a slower pace ?

    Actually, yes.

    Opportunity costs.

Problem is, they do shit backwards. They make a new dungeon winnable in 1 try, but dying a piece of gear takes months of gil accumulation.

Sorry, but if you purposely choose to buy your relic, you can't blame the game for the gil-buying market
I'd agree if that was the only way to get what you want, which is clearly not the case here.

Gil has been a joke in this game so far, nothing of lasting value to buy off the market boards so if you don't have a stockpile of gil laying around it means you've just been lazy. I've got a a good chunk of gil sitting around just thanks to sending my retainers out on a daily basis.

This game NEEDS items that people will spend gil on. Other than housing what good is gil in this game?

I think you mean, it needs items people want to spend on.

Nobody wants to save up gil to dye some shitty AF

Very true but shhhhh the "more" vultures will hear you and start listing all the things that took them more than 30 minutes to get.

Myself included. Most people don't like looking like everyone else. So, screw the lore. lol I want to be unique! Or at least have the option to be (Which is why we have the Glamour system) ;P

With that said....I kinda see WHY they made it this difficult for us to dye these items....they wanted to make the lore-hungry people feel better (since it's grindy) but also still give us vanity people the option at least.

Yes, I am being shady towards lore people. lol

    Oh well...good luck to everyone.
Without the lore MMOs would just be spreadsheets.
