    Olgoi-Khorkhoi, Found it! New Legendary fish you need 3 of for Halycon Rod Supra



    You catch it in the Sagolii Dunes fishing hole in Southern Thanalan. It's caught mooching off an HQ Storm Rider, and every bite I got for it was during Heat Wave weather, so I'm assuming that's necessary until I'm proven otherwise. Both bites were also in the early morning, but that may just be coincidence.

    You need 3 of these fish plus 10 fieldcraft demimateria IIIs to trade in to Talan to get the Talan's Seal of Fishing, which you then turn in with another crazy new item along with the Halycon rod to get your Halycon Rod Supra.

    My stats while catching this fish were 356 gathering, 268 perception.

    Hope you guys like the screenshot and info After the patch went live, no one knew where to find the Olgoi-Khorkhoi, so I had to make a guess on which dunefishing spot it was in based on the item description and I was right the first guess!

    By the way, it's this spot on page 11 of the expanded fishing guide!

    Haha that is an amazing catch. The fact that it's in the sand as well makes me think it may be a tribute to the movies almost.

    caught one on my first cast there (well mooched)
    got all three in about 15 minutes
    sand leeches as bait

    yep, it's easy. just luck getting HQ storm riders to mooch. use sand leechs as bait

    the painful part is the Fieldcraft Demi-Materia III apparently. you can buy them at AH once people start listing them, but first come first serve will spend a ton of money till prices eventually go down. unless you want to RNG and get them yourself

    it was heatwave when i caught them. i didn't fish during other weathers
