This. If the FC has a good reason for not wanting members to purchase rooms then it needs to be addressed in the announcement in a way that the members understand "We're not trying to be jerks about this" or else I'll side-eye them.I can go along with this thought if this is the case, but a free company restricting members from buying a room for the sole purpose of controlling them. I say get the hell out of that free company. OP or anyone that's been in a free company for quite some time and is getting this flack. Than there's some big issues with that free company.

There are plenty of Free Companies recruiting. Tell your leader that either you get a private room, or you get out.
If you find most other Free Companies are also restricting people from having a personal chamber, then start your own FC and advertise the allowance of private rooms. Winner winner chicken dinner.
This is a room in your FC house... not personal housing... If your FC doesnt want you to buy one, and you want one... find a new fc or make one. You dont "have" to have a room in your fc. And if you do not think you can trust your fc leader, dont buy a room, and dont stay in that fc. Pretty simple.
Not enough Facepalms
Am I doing something wrong or can you not log off and sleep in your private room because as the title says what exactly is the point?
How do you even begin to predict something like that? I've personally seen players who were awesome, contributing members go total nerd rage over losing a roll on something. Never saw it coming - but there it is. This isn't about FC's controlling their members, it's about FC's controlling their FREE COMPANY and protecting the OTHER members from 1 person's unanticipated nonsense. This whole thing is just a TERRIBLE idea. Personal housing should have nothing at all to do with the FC. At all. Period. This way EVERYONE can enjoy it, and leadership don't have yet another hoop to jump through when managing their FC.
The current implementation is actually better than what they plan on "correcting" it to. Future adjustments will allow the FC to kick you which will auto-vacate your room and you will lose your 300k investment as a result. I can't even fathom out the thought processes behind such a ludicrous decision.
This is easy to work out be on your best behavior and don't join a tard FC. I think those are good rules to maintain and deter tardish behavior. The current implementation is actually better than what they plan on "correcting" it to. Future adjustments will allow the FC to kick you which will auto-vacate your room and you will lose your 300k investment as a result. I can't even fathom out the thought processes behind such a ludicrous decision.
Or how about this:
1. SE lets anyone have a personal mog house like they have done successfully in other games
2. Players are then free to join, leave, stay, or never look at FC's as they please.
3. Leadership doesn't have to beg a GM to remove a problematic member because SE believed that the only way to protect members from losing their 300k was by locking leaders out of control over their company group.
Those sound about right and I can't imagine how SE can believe otherwise, even given JP culture.
Yes. We've placed the announcement in game and on our forums and have asked that instead they place the money towards getting the house, with the promise that anyone who does this will be helped in getting their private chambers funded. We don't mean to be jerks we just want to make sure no ones efforts so far are put to waste![]()
