But it isn't a gunblade! It's a sword, that turns into a gun! Like an Autobot, or something. But instead of a truck turning into a robot, it's a sword turning into a gun! It's so original! Why does nobody like FFXIII? We thought you wanted more brooding metrosexual lead characters, and gameplay so advanced that it plays itself!

If you played XIII-2, you'd know it ended on a cliffhanger for a sequel. So it wasn't a surprise or shock that there was a XIII-3. XIII-3 did conclude the series.
