Any chance that the fanfest ingame items will be sold on mogstation?

C'mon now. That's not the same thing at all. These players are facing the same challenge the others did before. If you get better at the game you will go where others went. No outside force is preventing you to do so.

With exclusive items it doesn't matter how good at the game you are or how much time you devote to it. That's content forever locked to you.

I remember when I first saw fat chocobos around. I wanted one cus they look funny. Went on the web to see which quest or where does it drop. Then I read how this crap had nothing to do with the game world itself. Luckily I don't care all that much for fluff to the point of unsubscribing but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

How is it not the same thing? Nikita is saying that everyone should have the same access to everything IN GAME because we all pay the same monthly sub. Somebody lacking the skill to beat Turn 5 and subsequently all turns of SCoB are not being afforded the same opportunity as everyone else because they find the content too difficult. Just like most of the complainers in this thread find the cost of a ticket and paying for flight and hotel accommodations too difficult.

I'm not going and still feel that the item should remain exclusive. I can't justify (or afford) spending over a grand to fly from the east coast to Las Vegas and take 4 days off of work. I live in the real world and have bills to pay and far better things to spend my money on than going to a convention.

They don't need to. As new content comes out, better gear comes out, level caps raise, all items will be obtainable eventually. That's not the same with real-life event exclusive items though.

But nice try making an argument I already squashed literally 10 minutes ago. At least you have a few derps that will like your posts no matter how poorly thought out they are.

And there will STILL be people who can't clear the content. Excuse me for having a job and responding to the post when I saw it after taking care of my real life responsibilities instead of reading through the whole thread first.

Equal opportunity? No. When there are some people that live in LA that only have to pay for the ticket and some people that live all the way across the country that have to pay travel and lodging fees on top of the ticket fee, that opportunity is not equal. I feel so sorry for the people living in countries where the event is not hosted, or countries where they make so little money compared to us that a trip to LA for the Fanfest is not even worth considering.

What is it with you and LA? You have the nerve to attack and belittle others for their apparent (according to you at least) lack of reasoning skills, yet you have failed to even grasp the actual location of the event you're so vehemently against. So who's the derp here, eh?

And in your example everyone has access to it. You want to go to t6? Beat t5 and you're there. The others before you did the same. They didn't pay on mog station. You are given the same opportunities as everyone else.

Do you seriously not see the fault in your logic? This is a game. Beating t5 is the challenge the game gives you. Going to some fanfest has nothing to do with the game. It is completely out of gameplay rules and mechanisms.
