Exactly, they don't want you to just go out, grab 3 reset peppers, grab all 3 bardings, then switch to the theorycrafted OP chocobo hybrid all on day 1. Yeah, I'm aware you need to be higher than rank 10 to get a second barding....
48K GC seals is nothing. At max craft/gathering, you earn 10K seals a day casually doing company turn ins.
And if you happen to farm myth a lot, all those dungeon gear from dungeons will also net you quite a bit.
And there's also people who farm fates a lot for varies reasons. (Atma/lvling)
And hell, you can even do GC leves.
It is in the patch notes. but 48K seals is nothing. Easy to build with ilvl 70 gear that you can trade in giving you over 800 a pop and new ilvl 80 gear am sure you will be able to trade in that is going to give you even more seals, so next time you in expert duty roulette greed on everything! I have capped my seals every week and at the end of the week spent them so simple
You get 155 points from rank 11-20, more than enough to max the other two trees.
@OP I find the price just fine, I don't think we're meant to change between chocobo trees so freely like we do with character base stats (keeper's hymn).
If they give points like the first 10 ranks you will have all 3 trees unlocked at rank 18
......in theory. I don't believe they've officially stated HOW points will work for rank 10+. Rank 11 might start over with 1 point to spend again, unless there's a source stating otherwise. By just ranking to 11, do you REALLY think SE will just let you say yes to instantly obtaining 4 skills (if you have a free tree open)?
Ah, that's close enough. They still don't say really HOW the points will be given out. It was stated that every action can be obtained by level 18, so why bother with the last 2 levels then? That's 32 unallocated points just sitting there....

It's found about halfway down the patch notes hidden in amongst other things, but it's there:
And as has been said, 48000 GC seals is nothing if you're already at maximum GC rank and have already bought everything of value - what else are you meant to spend them on? I've had maxed out seals for months and nothing to spend them on. So this doesn't worry me at all (plus given how many FATEs I do, I'd soon get that back in no time anyway). Really, some people just make mountains out of molehills.Originally Posted by Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone
Players can now reset their chocobo companion's skill points using reagan peppers.
Reagan peppers can be purchased with company seals or Allied Seals from the Grand Company headquarters in each city-state.
