Will I got branded as heretic?

I probably the only Elezen Wildwood that not worship Halone

    I worship Rhalgr The Destroyer

By the lore, Wildwood does worship Halone and probably all of them did the same, I am curious if there any Wood Elezen that not worship Halone? its unnatural? heretic in Ishgard's eyes? will I got burnt alive because Inquisitor find out I am Wood Elezen but I d not worship Halone like them?

For other race, they may not even care what they worship because they basically considered "outsider" because they probably not Elezen solely, if you worship Halone, they may welcome you with widen arms, if not, they may just close the door in your front

I knew this is just game and that such thing will not happen to me or anyone, this game seems no punishment or benefit from choosing what you believe

I simple feel strange that I choose to be Wood Elezen and the lore state it clearly they worship Halone, but I choose Rhalgr just because its sound cool and got extra lightning element resistance

Don't worry, there are plenty of Wildwoods in Gridania that worship Nophica!

Not necessarily. When an Ishgardian uses the word "heretic," they are usually referring specifically to someone who has turned their back on their god(s) for the dragons. You still worship one of The Twelve, so to many Ishgardians, I doubt you would be seen as a heretic. They might say that you are worshiping "incorrectly," but are not necessarily a heretic.

Unfortunately, there are some in power in Ishgard who are very zealous and will be happy to declare anyone they dislike a heretic, much like how there were ages in Europe and America where you could basically get someone killed by accusing them of being a witch - guilty until proven innocent.

Generally, no. There's plenty of Elezaen in the world from Ul'dah, etc., so you have nothing to worry about.

But I have to admit, the general phrasing of the OP's lack of grammar made me think of Dr. Tran fan mail.

Thanks for the lulz, despite you probably didn't mean for it to sound that way.

If it is a fate you wish to avoid, you could always down a Fantasia potion. I ended up switching from Oschon to Nophica back when we got one for the monthly reward.

There were some important Elezen NPC's in Ul'dah in 1.0, not so much anymore. There are few Elezen of import in Limsa nor Ul'dah now. It seems like, in ARR, they tried to keep the tribes associated with specific regions in those regions for the most part. For example, there are few named keepers, but they tend to be Gridanian. Major Miqo NPC's in the other cities are almost exclusively seekers, which I'm pretty sure includes the 3 dancers, the armorers guildmaster, and the arcanists guildmaster. Hyur Midlanders and Miqo Sun Seekers are notably all over the place, which we can probably trace back to the fact that both peoples aren't from around here and are recent arrivals. Hellsguard are mainly in Ul'dah, Seawolf mainly in Limsa. Dunesfolk mainly in Ul'dah, Plainsfolk in the other two cities. The only thing we know for certain about the demography of Ishgard is that its mainly Wildwood and Midlanders. I do not recall seeing others there who identified as Ishgardian. And as for Ala Mihgo, it seems that there is evidence that there were Midlanders in addition to the primarily Highlander population but what other tribes, if any, lived there isn't something we hear much about. I don't recall seeing any other kinds at Little Ala Mihgo.

Do all of the tribes have a patron deity? We know the Miqo's do by the nature of their diurnal/nocturnal divide, but I can't remember reading of any of the other clans having had a traditional patron god/dess.

As for Ishgard and Halone. I believe I floated the question on these very forums about what the deal is with them. And I believe Moose, or someone of equal knowledge, said something to the effect that there's a big difference between being a Heretic and a Heathen. Ishgard is closed to outsiders and heathens at the moment. We noted the term Heretic being used only in conjunction with those who worshiped Dragons. While being a Heathen or close associate of one may be a hanging offense, not worshiping Halone seems to "merely" be looked down upon by the arrogant Ishgardians. I'm too lazy to do a forum search and try to find said discussion.

Edit: One thing I regret about changing my chara back into a Moon Kitty is that I forgot to change her guardian back to Memphina. =/ Also, still waiting on the name change service...

Actually... if you are not Ishgradian, you are a heretic.

If you are fighting dragons too, you are also a heretic, but less heretic.

If you are Ishgradian and not fighting dragons or helping out, you are one too.

So in order not to be a heretic, you need to be Ishgradian and fighting dragons.

Come to think of it, you probably also need to be Hyur or wildwood Elezen too...

Can't dance on a pole? You can burn at the stake.

    Don't have a pope hat? That's a burning.

    You're a lala? That's a heretic.
