Its on the Grand Companies page so Yes its comfirmewd that Grand Companies arew tied into these Dungeons and will have a major impact on the game
I do hate to be a party ruin-er of sorts, but I really don't understand all the hype behind this. It looks like a regular cave that you have been in plenty of times with a few new models for doors and doodads. Same exact mob skins with different stat numbers, and no clear indication as to the depth of these dungeons..
Can't help but wonder if this is all a fancy prelude to the awesomeness that will be Ifrit.
Why play a MMO? In fact, why play a RPG?I do hate to be a party ruin-er of sorts, but I really don't understand all the hype behind this. It looks like a regular cave that you have been in plenty of times with a few new models for doors and doodads. Same exact mob skins with different stat numbers, and no clear indication as to the depth of these dungeons..
Are you on about these machines?I'm pretty sure that a big part of the main zone redesign is what they are adding to them.
All the beast man tribe camps, and 'hubs', for which there are a few screen shots.
Every one of those beast men, mostly, are probably new models, since there isn't really a beast man presence in the game yet. That's a LOT of models on it's own. What about that night picture with all the machines and steam and awesome looking stuff? All new models. And that picture with the shed and fence. new models. I'm sure there's new models in the hubs as well. maybe a couple new trees and plants to go in there? Boxes and jars and all the lore as to what kind of things the beast men use.
My point is that this new dev team came in at around January. it's been about 6 months and change since then, but lets be realistic. They had to clean a lot of stuff up first, finish some unfinished project work and develop a whole new plan for the game.
I'd say they're making astounding progress if you remember just how much new model work is going into the development of the beast men tribe and lore right now. of course all of that can be put into new dungeons.
They have a couple ready made dungeons sitting around and a revamped battle system to try them out on.
I LIKE IT.

Also there are Beastmen in the game, just not many and they are at higher levels, see here

Also it is not a "New" Dev Team, it is the same Dev Team that made the game just a few leads and heads have changed and also some talent from other projects have been brought in to assist.
The point I was trying to make in that post is that the game has a lot of stuff that we are locked out of and is hidden from view. Like those reactor things, they were put there for a reason and they do have a purpose but we can't access them yet. This dungeon was already in the game so has not been built from scratch by the looks of it, so are we just getting the dungeon that was already in place but reworked to run with the new mechanics.
So are they just reworking the original content that we didn't have access to or are they actually creating everything from scratch. I imagine it is a combination of both and there is nothing wrong with that, however if they are reworking original content then I expect them to pick up the pace a bit once the gameplay mechanics are finalised and start getting content into the game at a quicker pace.
Namely, in order to enjoy the experience an RPG provides on a larger scale with other players. Now, you can imagine that the enjoyment factor is far lower when you do the same content over and over with miniscule changes to the formula. Tell me, are these not the same enemies you have already seen? What is in this nearly barren cave worth risking life and limb for?
Omg, people post a loooooot faster than I can read all that Text Pages...
I agree with this.I imagine it is a combination of both
Not to be a bummer but that isn't LNC doing "Jump" It's PGL with Seismic Shock WS.
While the content IN the video looks good, the video itself was really low quality. I could have produced a better video in my sleep. If they are going to attract new players with content like this they really need to have a better media production team. The transitions were awful, and there was no cohesive thought flow throughout the video.
I am still saddened by the fact that the multiple action bars won't be available in 1.18, that awful tin sound on the UI won't be gone, and the UI is still terrible.
Finally, anyone notice the huge lag between the HP bars and the actual animation going off of the Eye? /sigh
Other than those missing few things which have been promised to come in the near future, the dungeon as a whole looks to be promising.
