Hey cN give something else and the Mount both low drop rates. I like low drop rates, means when I get one not everyone will have it.

I guess people are still really caught up on being "special" but I mean really it doesn't matter. It's like getting one of the first new coil weapons on the server, sure it's cool but really people stop caring pretty quickly, I remember when I got nightmare and very few had it. Fat chocobo is my favorite though >_>; even with the special ponies around.

TBH I don't give much of a crap about RNG and low drop rates but I think I have a solution to this entitlement madness: For everyone that complains about lower drops, SE should make the drops lower. To the point of making said drops like the Triforce in Ocarina of Time or a victory against the Marathon man, unobtainable (In fact they would remove the drops from the fights at this point). Then once people realize thet their entitlement is actuualy making them and the rest of the player base look undeserving, they'll back off and SE returns makes drops normal again, and the cycle goes on.

Granted this solution is too extreme for SE to consider. But until they become available for tokens I see no other option for shutting the entitled folks up before they try to Occupy Erorzea.

PS: the Occupy Erozea part was a joke.

Have to admit that those who are opposed to the 'reduce the drop rate' are more likely those who already have em. I can see why people aren't happy. I've done extreme so many times and never seen a mount drop. It is pretty sad lol.

Why don't we take it one step further? Apply this to coil. Any dicussion about coil, any mention of it's name. The drop rate goes to .00000001% and sometimes it'll just drop some animal skin from the chest.

Naw, not far enough. Let's remove all loot from the game. If anyone mentions anything within the game, that is removed as well. Let's just have people run around naked with no loot to get or pretty much nothing to do.

To be serious, let people get the mounts they want in the game. Making things "rare" is in the past, also nobody should care if someone else get their "special" mount.

I want the "Hey I got this mount. I don't care how many other people have it, as long as I got mine." type feeling. Funny how we both have two different feelings on the issue. The difference is, mine doesn't screw over other players due to forced e-peen.

Also, judging from the PF's asking for EX primal help. Your comparison to it being "handed out like candy" is false.

I have yet to acquire any of the EX primals mounts myself and Twelve know how much I'd love to have one, but I also feel that they're there with that lousy drop rate also to keep people queueing for these trials. Keeps the duty finder going, if nothing else.

Coil is different. The gear in coil is GEAR not VANITY stuff like mounts.

Also I can say that if the mounts are more common like you say then we should let everyone who goes through Coil get a full set of Allagin gear AND the weapon of their choice as well.

Yeah. I can twist arguements around too. And yes I know my suggestion is insane. And I do sort of want things to be a little easier, but I don't really care. And I don't whine about it on the forums. In fact I think SE should take a stand against the spoiled brats who whine about low drop rates instead of encouraging them to ruin the game for everyone else.

Just change it to a straight inventory drop with everyone getting an equal chance of getting the said mount with a lockout once the mount is in your inventory and/or has been used to prevent people from getting multiples and diluting the odds of other players. Keep it at 1%, and with this system in place two extreme possibilities can occur:

1) No one in the group will get it.

..or

2) Everyone in the group will get it. (RNGesus smiles upon you)

IMO 1% drops should always be character exclusive and should not be rolled or looted on. It makes and already tedious item to gain that much more tedious. This applies to any game with 1% drops

Wanting to be a unique snowflake because you have something other people can't get is a horrible mentality and excuse for low drop rates.

That and you have no right to be a snowflake with something you yourself didn't even earn. The fact that someone gets one of these items is not a matter of them earning it, but simply them getting lucky. In my opinion, that is not something worth "showing off" or being proud of.
