Rogue and Ninja look amazing imo. I'm happy with what they have introduced. I still cannot wait to jump on that ladybug's neck and just dagger-fk it 0.o

Doubt you'll make any enemies, I'm happy for people who are excited about Rogue/Ninja. I would just rather have my gunner class that's supposedly been coming out since this game was created. It's like your favorite manga book or movie series being put on hold and ya don't know when it's coming back, just so the same writer/director can put out something new first. Get's annoying... and old. Wasn't a big fan of NIN back in FFXI, so I'll have to see how it plays before I can even say I'd be remotely interested in the class/job.

Happy for people who are happy, I just want what was promised and what I thought was gonna be my main class/job back in 2010.

2.X and 1.X are different games with different objectives. Never forget that when you ask "something that was promised in 1.x". It may not be promised anymore in 2.x

Though the job is nowhere in the announcement yet other than "sooner than expansion". For what it's worth.

If you haven’t read the whole thread (because I don’t understand the first post being made if you have) you would see multi-people have pointed out Yoshi has mentioned it over the years as still coming. He left the guild in the game on purpose. I even posted a quote where he mentioned it directly and says he's considering allowing it to have dual guns.

And as you pointed out, which kinda negates your first quoted post, within the last month he'd said it's 'coming sooner than we think'.

All in all, it can be confirmed though comments and in interviews they have discussed the gunner class coming for 2+ years. And that doesn't include the old director’s comments.

my 1st post was an answer to someone posting 1.0 pics. It's just a plain statement. Wether musketeer is still on the to-do-soon list or not is not dependant on the fact that it was in 1.x.
Though it has been announced "one day". Hence 2nd post. But it still has nothing to do about the "it was thought in 1.x". It's Yoshida's decision regarding 2.x future.

This may have been brought up before, but as a non-FF example of how Musketeer could be designed as a ranged/support class using a gun Chaika Trabant comes to mind.

No issues, I've been working a lot so I'm tired too lol. All I know is this isn't a 'may' situation. We have been told 100% it's being worked on and coming... I just think we are gonna have to continue to be patient... >.<

we have time before expansion. And if it eventually comes in expansion, it's gonna be healer or tank gun class maybe. Weird enough to be entertained

Yeah not sure what its gonna be, they did say it was gonna work like a dps magic class... idk. XD we will see at some point.
