So not for registering, but for actually going to the fan fest.

Unless you live in Las Vegas, the travel and lodging costs will outweigh the actual event registration fee by a factor of at least 5-to-1. The ticket price (which is fairly reasonable regardless, given the cost associated with putting on an event of this scale) is a drop in the bucket compared with the total expense involved in a trip like this. Even if the tickets were free, it'd still be a pretty expensive proposition to go there.

If you use a gmail for your primary account email, check your promotions tab. That's where I found mine.

I didn't get one but I can't go to fanfest anyway so it doesn't matter then I have Comcast and they often block emails. The same thing happened to me during the beta for Legacy players they blocked my beta email. So I was like yea guess I should change my email on my SE account to something that isn't Comcast incase I miss other emails sent out by SE. If you have a @Comcast.net email they block anything they deem spam and you never even see it in your inbox.

Dunno about this. I'm a college student, and I work at a job where I make ok money. I'm not at all wealthy, but booking the trip at the right place and even the flight can save you a tons of money. I'm saving up to go, so far I've managed to afford the hotel and have saved a bit for the tickets. My wallet will cry once it's all over, but if it's something you really wanna do it's worth it. It's the only vacation I'll get to take this year at any rate.
