The game itself has the learning built in. You wipe, you get echo bonus, therefore, giving you better chances to succeed.

The worst issue IMHO, isn't the game, but more about the players' attitude. All those complains about bad attitude of tanks, healers, dps, in/experience players clearly states the human factor as an major issue. Until we fix that, which SE cannot do, the friendliness and ease of play of this game will not change. If the players do not help each other, it will only makes this game more unfriendly and harder to play. This is, after all, a MMO.

Sad, but those "farming runs" certainly do not help this matter much.

BTW, I do like the idea of practice runs. Maybe we can limit it within an FC, hence giving the the players another reason to join FC and FC in turn being the place to help players.

I hear you, but I like to think of this as a way to help the community be more inclusive. There are lots of ways to insentivize people around doing practice parties outside of the real environment. Additionally, Echo is only used in older content, so people who want to learn newer content without wasting 95% of the fighting time wiping over and over don't really have any recourse.

I think this would be an elegant solution which gives a practice outlet for targeted learning. It's a little bit like muscle development. There is something to be said for isolating the weak areas.

I think the best method would make this a playable mini game in the gold saucer. It would prepare a player by showing them the boss mechanics without actually spoiling the fight. Release the mini game one month after patch and make it single player.

Fantastic idea, OP, but fatally flawed: practice runs could be FUN. So, SE will never implement it. Fun must be kept out, at all costs. :P
