Why not use the fantasia? It could be a whole storyline for your roleplaying group. Demon curse or something like that.

Believe it or not, super unrealistic changes like that are frowned upon in the RP community at large. I know it seems really stupid, but unless you have a really really good plot related reason that has a solid basis in the game's canon, you're going to looked down upon. Besides, what reason would a demon possibly have for turning a guy into a girl? Seems really weird.

I don't think he said he wanted the cap for RP purposes, just that he won't use fantasia for RP purposes.

What he wants to do with the cap is besides the point, the point is the gender lock.

I can't understand then. I'm all for gear not being locked, and all for men getting more options but to get this upset because we have the option for another hat to sleep in... I just don't... And I'm just gonna stop now.

I don't get it, what is the issue here? There's not a heart on your specific race's hat and so the world is going to end? This title is misleading as well, "Female Only Gender Lock" (please ignore the fact that female lalafells and male hyurs wear the same hat so I have a reason to complain)

I think you missed a few things. First, never said it was the end of the world. Second, the issue is about there being a trend of SE making more female only clothes than male only clothes, meaning that if this continues there will be more vanity gear for women and less for men.

Actually I'm not too enthused about the frilly cap itself, I just don't like the trend we're seeing.

Funnily enough, there's actually a lot more female player representation in FFXIV than you tend to find in other games.

I think this is very interesting. Only about 1 mil people have a chocobo, and another 100k have the legacy chocobo. That's not exactly an easy thing to skip getting at some point >.>
