Repost for new page b/c I'm too sexy
Kenji pls...Dunno, just something ive heard, that you cant go lower than 2.25s without some form of buff.
Well, the next visible decrement would be 2.24s, which would be at 612/613 speed. So if someone can actually reach THAT much spell speed WITHOUT any buffs... well, we can find out.
Though I do not know if it is possible to break 600 spell speed with current gear, and NO selene buff.
Here's some screens to disprove your 2.25 cap.
589 SSPD (NO FOOD, NO SELENE)
---
616 SSPD (FOOD ONLY)
---
800 SSPD (FOOD + SELENE)
So, there's no such thing as 2.25 GCD cap for sspd
P.S You owe me 9K gil for the food D:
Check's in the mail... soon as I get out of coil.
Fire: Potency has been increased from 150 to 170.
Blizzard: Potency has been increased from 150 to 170.
Fire III: Potency has been increased from 220 to 240.
Blizzard III: Potency has been increased from 220 to 240.
Apocatastasis: The effect has been changed to reduce a party member's magic vulnerability by 20%. Recast time has been increased from 120 to 180 seconds.
Manawall: Effect duration has been reduced from 60 to 20 seconds.
Dat manawall nerfAm I going crazy or didn't Yoshida say the Black Mage buffs wouldn't be simple potency buffs? Atleast Apocatastasis might be useful again now. Nice to have the buffs but really disappointing they ended up just hitting up the potency button.
Imo the proposed buffs (and def cd nerf) sound about perfect, Manawall should perhaps have been nerfed to 30s, rather than 20s, but that's my only nit-pick.
I'd glad they did not simply make BLM easier to move and maintain DPS.
Keeping skill level and knowledge of a battle highly important.

Yeah they feel just right, I just wish maybe they were a bit more creative with it. And very happy they didn't add anything silly like people wanted with Surecast
Okay... so lets see...
Barring Thundercloud procs, a standard rotation is most often...
F1x5*1.8, F3x2*1.8, B3*.7, T2, B1, F3*.7 = 2840 using the current potency values.
With the new values we would have... 3140, which amounts to an increase of 10.56%.
Still, really wish they would address the whole movement issue... Hell, just ACKNOWLEDGE it! It feels like we've been saying that the biggest kick in the ass for BLM is the new wave of movement heavy fights which tend to cripple our dps until we KNOW the fight and can do it in our sleep... Nope, no mobility fo joo... But here's 10% more dps as a consolation prize.
IDK... Im slightly disappointed.
Well, maybe they ninja fixed the UI tick issues... IE sync it to the character NOT THE GLOBAL CLOCK... One can hope I suppose.
The changes are perfect, a movement change would not help the blms at the top end and only make the real problem more clear, the damage ceiling that blm hits.
The manawall nerf is kinda weird and I don't really get it but oh well instead of 2 landslides it's gonna have to be only 1 now.
Apo, k will use it now to make tanks healers life easier. Wont complain.
Potency buffs I welcome but I really hoped for proc stacking at least to 2. I didn't think the surecast thing would be good either so rather happy.
Someday we'll get the proc stacking!!! For now this is more than enough. Especially for fights like t8. We gun blast.
I don't have movement issues and I top my fights as BLM :T Then again, I seem to be an exception because all the BLMs I see cancel their cast all the time to move away.Okay... so lets see...
