*yawn* This thread is still going? New content for pre 50 is still pointless.

The road to lv 50 is already insanely fast. You have challenge logs, hunting logs, daily roulettes, FATEs, FC action bonuses, food exp bonuses, and the experience bonus from already having a lv 50 in order to compensate for not being able to do the Story again. It's true that good developers should not let one type of content cannibalize the other, but they also want to spend resources making what will have the most longevity.

With things like the exp bonus from daily roulettes and the challenge logs being implemented, you can see how the dev team is trying to make the journey to 50 faster without having to make actual pre-50 content. The thing is that this type of MMO IS all about endgame, that's when the real challenge begins, and you can even see this with skills gained through leveling, as jobs and classes feel "incomplete" before level 50. You also spend the highest amount of time playing at endgame.

It's also good to notice how this MMO may have a smaller quantity of dungeons, but every boss has its own mechanics and each dungeon has its own identity, unlike games like WoW where you have three dungeons thrown at you every time you level up, but it's all mostly tank and spank in a different environment.

Adding new pre-level 50 dungeons would be nice, but again, it's unattractive because it does not have the longevity of endgame content. The devs may also be fully concentrating on endgame due to so many players burning out on content before a new patch, and concentrating on pumping more endgame content will keep them busier. When this game first started, we had 2 endgame 4 person dungeons, and they've been adding 3 new ones with every patch, so we've come a pretty long way. Maybe when more variety is given at endgame, they will start focusing on pre-50 more. We also don't have any details on what they're adding for the first expansion, and I'm willing to bet that there is definitely something in there for lower level players.

LOL Odett, removed my post (had a ginger moment, and yes I do have red hair irl), I'm defintely all for more content at endgame for people don't get me wrong! I just get annoyed with people who give others grief or treat them as irrelevant because they AREN'T at level 50. Not saying that at you personally btw. Good post and good points.

Not to mention that you do get exp bonuses based on how many other classes you have leveled up.

    BUT

More content is always good, and it would be especially nice to have more sidequests, as long as the little mini-stories that go with them are entertaining.

I just don't see the point. Everything will be new to new players, and any new content added for low levels would just be completed by people who already have 50's. So why even bother adding new content to low levels? Just seems incredibly pointless to me.

As was mentioned earlier, there are new classes on the horizon. Today you may have everything at level 50, but in a few months that will be different for everyone.

The moment the level cap get raised, we would have a lot of pre level cap content.

In a few months it will still be the same thing. You do your hunting logs, your challenge logs, a couple hours worth of fates, leves and dungeons, your class quests and you're gonna max your new class. Maybe you can even do mob hunt for levels in 2.3. Point is, there is already a good variety of leveling paths in this game that we don't need to oversaturate it. For example, players have been whining for months on not having challenging non-raid dungeons at lvl50 and yet people on the forum would rather ask for more pre lvl50 dungeons?

Well w/e be careful what you wish for is all I'm saying.

Would rather have activities other than dungeons to do at lvl50. Soooo looking forward to Hunts!
