You could have asked them to team up you know. That way the kill credit is shared.

Doesn't help that much. He may get Gold but he will also get 0 EXP. If he is Level 10 and the others in the group Level 50, he doesn't get a single experience point.

What? I'm pretty sure this isn't how it works in a sync'd FATE, though I could be wrong.

For me, I tend to skip most FATE grinding and just do hunt logs and mob grinding until 10, then Guildhests, huntlogs and the oddball FATE until 16, then a combination of dungeons\hunts and some FATEs while waiting. I don't like to hardcore FATE until around 30 at which point you can start going into Coerthas parties. that's where the hard core FATE leveling happens (at least on Balmung). I feel your pain in that it's hard to tag mobs at that level, but it's not going to be that way in a few levels so just hang in there.
