Wake up. This is alredy here but the criteria is equip, a far worse criteriaThat is EXACTLY what DPS meters do!
They force the server to perform to standards they say or be kicked from groups.
So then everyone needs one to be able to group because YOU say they are needed!
When people start setting an amount of DPS for a fight, they're determining the gear people need as well.
OK for statics - Evil in DF
When they run DF and people trying to gear & learn are kicked from the groups that's good?
People join DF to learn & gear up and get kicked because of their freaking DPS? Where do they go now?
I don't give a crap about being better than anyone.
I give a crap about people using a calculator to say they are better than everyone else.
Like I said before, I don't care which of you all wants to be in fight club
Just remember the first rule of fight club
Leave the rest of the server that don't care about fight club out of it.
So by your statements, you should be forced to play on a PC where you can get a DPS meter.2) i can't use a parser, i'm from ps4
3) i don't have much time to give to this game
4) i don't have a static of pro players uber word killing bragghing in the forum like you
5) i don't have a "talent" for gaming. I think of me as less then avarage gamer in terms of skills, attention, rectivness so i must study really well the fight and i do it but i'm sure i need more time than you to learn a fight
6) My internet sucks balls
Then you should be forced to get one and use it.
Afterwards you need to farm enough gil to buy i90 crafted & deck it out with L4 Materia
(which you'll blow tens of millions of gil if it's not performing enough)
THEN you can join maybe a DF bryflox run
Afterwards, watch youtube vids till your eyes bleed
Learn coil very slowly because you'll be kicked after first wipe like 20+ times
Yup... sounds like a great idea
Maybe a worse criteria for determining DPS...
However just as stupid as it is that people say "Bryflox HM speed run i95+"
These same idiots will just change that standard to "Must be 350+ dps or out!"
DPS meters don't eliminate the stupidity, they just change the format.
The highest geared/dps players still set the standards.
You say I shouldn't be able to tell you that you can't have a parser (I don't, SE does!)
But you should be able to tell me I DO need one?
When parsers become the norm in a game they force all to use them and adapt or be eliminated from end game content.
This mentality spreads to stuff that's really not even end game (like Bry HM)
So everyone in the game that wants to do anything should have to use parsers because YOU want them... and I'm the elitist?

Do you honestly need a dps meter to tell you which dps is underperforming? >_> Maybe we need a tard meter instead to prevent these kinds of threads from forming so often.
So you can tell when someone has been dead for a full minute and is still outDPSing any other person, with equivalent gear? By what, intuition? ESP?
As a matter of fact, it's both intuition and ESP. Also, a little bit of experience in knowing how the flow of the battle goes. If it's a bit slower than usual, chances are you have a subpar dps in your party. So then what do you do? If it's horrible enough that you just refuse to continue, you start the process of elimination.
All joking aside, my point is that if a certain DPS is so awful that it's causing you guys to lose, then trust me that between the 6 members remaining, you'll figure it out. If you want a DPS meter in place just cuz you're taking an extra couple of minute on a fight, then get off your high horse, it's a fking game, not a job.
How that come from my statemant? O.oSo by your statements, you should be forced to play on a PC where you can get a DPS meter.

Plus i don't want to tell you that YOU NEED a parser. I NEED it to be able to test out things by myself
Plus i agree that parser won't eliminate stupidity but it won't create it either. It'a there. The ones asking 95+ brey will ask dps for brayflox. That's it. And it's better then asking 95 anyway
So you are ok with a parser that ONLY gather your information and not what everyone in the party is doing? How that come from my statemant? O.o

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
i really think that, SE is taking the wrong direction at this... not giving us parser because people might get harassed is wrong, they should punishes who harasses with the built in parser, so they don't do it again... it's like parenting, lets say your kid beats his friend, what'll you do? teach him how to get by with another people, or simple lock him in a room for the rest of his life so he don't beat anybody ever again?
I'm sorry, but I'd much rather be judged by my DPS than by my ilvl. However just as stupid as it is that people say "Bryflox HM speed run i95+"
