Xande is a Wizard actually, If anyone were to get his gear it would be Casters and not Monk.

Guardian however IS a monk in FF3 his only weapon is his fists.
he is a special kind of monk however, he wears full armor and has the ability to use reflect which bounces back magic.

Ah sadly I don't have much knowledge of the FF universe, and I didn't think to look up their actually job and history, my apologies and thank you to have correct me. Seeing Xande's weapon yeah I could see he isn't a monk, it's just the pants/bare chest that somehow reminded me of Yang from FF4 but again that's probably just me
