I don't care how good you are as a dps, you may get more than an unexceptional one, but a great dps will never get as many as a mediocre tank or healer. Even when I'm tanking and screw up badly causing a wipe I'll still get commendations just because I'm tanking and for no other reason.

I got all 3 comms as my Bard once. I nearly fell out of my chair.
This hasn't been the case in my own experience. My average number of commends is 2 on BLM (my main), and 1 on PLD (although that could say a lot about my tanking). In fact, I'm much more likely to get all 3 commends on BLM than any other job/role, and it's not really uncommon either. When I get 2, I usually assume the tank didn't commend me in the case that I kept pulling agro off them, and that's why I'm really not looking forward to a BLM buff. They might as well change our icon from red to blue when that happens.I don't care how good you are as a dps, you may get more than an unexceptional one, but a great dps will never get as many as a mediocre tank or healer. One of the dps in my static says he started receiving more once he got his T5 weapon so gear probably factors. I main healer but mostly run dungeons as tank (which I'm still getting comfortable with) and get more when I heal. I'm just going by my own personal experience though. I either tank or heal so I'm biased. When I get a decked out dps fighting me for aggro I'm pretty happy because the dungeon goes so much faster.
I thought SE decided not to buff BLM. I can't remember where I read that so I could be wrong.

If a healer is DPSing and cleric dancing, I'll always commend them because that should always be appreciated and encouraged. Tanks are last in my commendation priority when they don't use cooldowns because it's just lazy and makes healers have to work harder. Maybe more people think like this and that's probably why healers get the most commendations. And yeah, likewise, having DPS fight for agro when I tank really removes the dullness, but many tanks get pretty mad when that happens. If you have good gear and you're not able to get back agro, it's really your fault. I'm not going to baby a tank when they don't use their skills. One of the dps in my static says he started receiving more once he got his T5 weapon so gear probably factors. I haven't been caught up in the BLM buff decision so idk about that, but honestly, people that complain about BLM mobility and damage loss just need to learn how to play the job better.

Where are you getting all these commendations as a BLM? Brayflox speed runs would make sense but i don't see it else where. It irritates the hell out of me as a DRG when i do a trial roulette or something and I carry the dps for the whole party while the others are dying or doing terrible dps and i get to the end feeling good expecting 2 or 3 commendations only to get out and get 0. People just don't give them to dps no matter how deserving. I run DF content on a near daily basis as DRG since commendations were implemented and only have about 160.
