Of course it doesn't. Are you implying that those who care about their DPS are unable to stay alive because they are too focused on maximizing their DPS? If so, i would argue that a majority of people who are truly interested in improving their DPS are also motivated enough to perform the mechanics required to stay alive to do said DPS.

In my experience those who can't dodge usually won't be close to top even if they soak damage and don't die

At the same time, dodging like a pro doesn't mean squat if you can't output while dodging. If you can't dodge, you probably won't have high dps anyway due to being dead x.x

All I'm saying is 99% of the people would vote kick based on dmg output alone. You want to be that picky in a static group then be my guest. But don't expect top tier number from everyone in pf/df.

Now I get your point that there are more subtle aspects to dpsing that aren't reflected in the charts but dps not dodging and therefore dying is reflected in the dps meter.

Titan example one person have high dps on titan but dont attack the adds. Second person dont have high dps on titan but if the first one to attack adds/goals and stay there until they are dead or other person get all the goals. Party wipe, leader look for the lowest dps and the person that was there with the adds/goal or the one that got trapped get kicked. Good job everyone!

Because no one has eyes? I would also note that if said high-DPS-person-that-only-attacks-the-boss really wanted to boost their DPS they'd at least dot both adds. :P

Or, y'know, they could look at the other information the parser gives. Because, yes, the parser tells you what target people attack, and it also tells you if the player was gaoled.
