Wherein lies the challenge ganking in low rank players over and over? Other than you rank up the "I'm an obnoxious tool" level. What's so bad about ganking and why does EVERYTHING have to be balanced? Some of the best fun I've had in some other MMOs was entering a PvP zone, as a lowbie, and then carefully finding my way through it, avoiding high level players who were geared to the teeth. Eventually I ranked up, got good gear and I was more or less on the same level with the ones I once ran away from. If I didn't want to get ganked, I stayed out of that zone. Plus, there's The Wolves' Den with 4 VS 4 matches for getting ranks already, without ganking....
SE wants to make a baby-friendly environment as it is.... they don't need more encouragement in that direction -_- I for one would love more freedom and not having SE hold my hand every damn second of my play time.

There's ways to avoid abuse, and spawn camping. Safe zones with NPCs that will 1-shot a player of a different GC, temporary immunity to players that got killed X-amount of times within short time, limit players from attacking one another if the physical level and rank are 10 or so levels above/below etc. The challenge is not getting killed, teaming up with stronger players and so on.... Just like you wouldn't wanna die from a mob if you happen to wander into a higher level zone in our current world. Except, you can walk to all zones we have as a level 1 character now....
