Harsher Punishment for Those That Leave Instances

After seeing this thread - http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ving-instances.
I've decided to make a thread for the other side of the spectrum.

Even with the 30 minute penalty, there are still plenty of people who leave at the start of instances, mainly from those who received a dungeon they do not enjoy in the Roulette (Toto-Rak comes to mind)

Here's what I think the penalty SHOULD be.
    1) 30 minute lockout
    2) You lose ALL Roulette bonuses for that day.

So, if you leave early in the low-level roulette, you lose the potential bonuses from Main Story, Trials, Expert, High Level, Low Level, Guildhest. Everything.

This might sound harsh, but I have a special part of my mind that is reserved for hatred to those who leave early.

Losing all your roulette bonuses is perfectly reasonable imo.
    Thoughts?

Or you could just use one of these threads

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...t-for-quitters...
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ore-punishment!
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...r-ragequitting

I'm very sure these aren't all of the QQ threads about people leaving instances

People that want to leave will either:
    A) Hold the entire party hostage until they get vote kicked
    B) Force D/C and wait to be kicked or forced out of the group

Don't let your hate to cloud your judgement. I know it's annoying, but making that guy to lose all his daily roulettes because he didn't want to do 1 dungeon with X people is a bit extreme. Even with 1 hour penalty, people will leave anyway. Why? because the penalty won't be applied if that guy goes with a pre-made party after that and many other reasons...

Edit: Yes, I know you can queue with a pre-made for low level roulette.

Why dont people think before they say this?
Things can happen in real life, things that suddenly can prevent you from keep doing your dungeon.
Also like already mentioned, people will D/C on purpose, and its not fair to punish those who do not d/c on purpose, especially not make them lose any roulette bonus at all.

I feel like there should be greater penalties for leaving a dungeon within the first few minutes, but it the implementation should be different.

First time you leave: 30 min penalty.

    Second Time: 45 min

Third: 60 mins and lose Roulette Bonus.

Remember, this is within a certain time (I'll also say maybe within a certain part of the dungeon, say 5 mins or clear first boss, whichever takes longer; if the party is just failing before the first boss there is always Vote Abandon). Yes, people can still abuse it since its time-dependent, but if a pattern emerges then that can be dealt with in time.

Now, as for people who would AFK to get around that...

If you get kicked two/three times with Offline or AFK votes in one day, within, say, 10 minutes of the dungeon start time, you get a queue penalty (15 mins)

Three/four times: 30 mins and lose Roulette Bonuses

If you know your internet is so spotty that you can't stay online and do dungeons and get kicked for offlining, honestly, you probably shouldn't be running them; it is disrupting to the other players to have to wait for you when they want to get the dungeon over with. Now, getting kicked once is fine; no penalty or anything. Two times...may or may not get one (not sure whether 2 or 3 kicks is better for the first penalty here); if it is your net, you know something is wrong and you should know you offlining like this is disrupting the dungeon for the rest in it, so maybe you shouldn't keep trying with randoms. Three/four times (again, not sure if 3 or 4 for next penalty)...if it is not intentional you've disrupted 3 or 4 groups enough that they decided to kick you. You should know better and well, sorry, but you've been kicked 3 or 4 times for the same reason in one day, penalty is definitely earned.
How many people are going to unintentionally offline even twice in one day? Very few. Number of people offlining to get around penalties? Too many.

Is this perfect? No. Nothing is. But there is Vote Abandon if the party is just bad and really, don't run dungeons if you know you can't finish them (bad internet) or if you keep getting distracted (like I said, once is fine, it happens, but more than that...may want to double check nothing is going on before running a dungeon...)

Maybe they just need harsher penalties for being an awful player.

Or easier content so it's easier to carry awful players.

Or less boring low level content.

I have to disagree with these penalties for one reason and one reason only. The first boss of Sunken Temple of Qarn. I was with a decent group today and we wiped to that fight so many times we all finally gave up on the dungeon. People were either dropping because of Mortal Ray or the funniest, Final Sting. For whatever reason the BLM and DRG couldn't bring down the bees fast enough and we tried binding them. I got hit by Final Sting from both bees from across the arena. After 7 or so wipes we all just kind of gave up. I think the penalties should be removed after you've spent a certain amount of time in the dungeon so show that you made some sort of effort.
