Never a mind was changed on an internet board, no matter how good your arguments are...
Abandoning duty isn't an issue if it's 4 people that agree to do it, but when you drag along an unknown 4th into a concept they didn't agree to, that's a form of harassment. There is no excuse to use DF for 3 people just to leave and cause issues for the 4th person and groups that do that can be reported.
The main use of abandoning a duty is to circumvent the penalty of leaving a duty when there is no hope, the party agrees that they can't get through it and they leave so that no one is penalized, but to use it to leave after getting what they wanted without care for the 4th person is uncalled for. If you have the names of the 3 players it's easy enough to report them, and not only that you can check to see if they were on the same server, which they likely were, explain the situation to the GM and it can easily be resolved on their end to at least give those players a warning since they are misusing an in game tool.
And I"m not saying players shouldn't abandon duty if they are a premade group of 4, if 4 players want to farm mytho and abandon duty after 2nd boss that's perfectly fine, but once you let a stranger in and cause them grief by ending a duty short when they went in with the intention of completing a dungeon that's when it becomes an issue.
One thing they could do is only allow a vote abandon after a wipe; that's the only time it makes sense to do it anyway.
I agree with you totally it's painfull (special cause I have to farm alexandrite on roulette and I have no luck on fates so roulette it's my only option for me) but, wanna talk also about people who leave when the run is neither began ? Seriously, if u don't wanna do the run, why the hell join ? Bah, still I don't have word and I hope for 2.3 will take more caution for these "players"

Anything that slows down a speedrun is going to be a detriment to running it. There's only 3 mobs, it'd take a while to kill all of you, and it'd be an obvious thing to report if you still feel it's report-worthy.
And it even gives you a chance to go "hey guys, come on, let's just finish it" lol
And if you're the healer you could just keep curing them.
Edit: oh and most importantly, what downside is there to that suggestion?
