Nutz - i am sure it says the elites have to be under certain conditions. So I would assume those take a bit longer to do and perhaps need a full team.

I think they mean a new -list- of regular and elite marks is posted each day/week. Think of it as getting a fresh hunting log every day, and a special hunting log each week. (Keep in mind there are B, A, and S-rank elite marks, so one elite mark per week would make no sense.)Sounds nice and all, but really? 1 regular per day and 1 elite per week? This sounds like 5 minutes of content per day, give or take. Maybe it's more than the description makes it out to be. The rewards certainly seem to indicate that at least, though I wonder how many marks/ elite marks you'd need to down to get sand/ oil/ alexandrite.
Seems like we get a daily standard hunt and then 3 elite per week. The elite hunts will need to present a decent challenge to groups of 8, they won't be trivial. I'm just happy they're opening up Sands/Oils/Alex a bit more.Sounds nice and all, but really? 1 regular per day and 1 elite per week? This sounds like 5 minutes of content per day, give or take. If you're getting the 3 from the various ranks, I'm not reading it like that at all. Seems it's one a week which can be one of those various ranks. Also "appears under certain conditions" I'm reading as a forced pop, in contrast to regular hunts which are open world monsters that already exist.

I like the ability to gain sands/oils/alex from this as well. I have yet to step in BCoB2 yet so will be nice. I can start working on a Burtgang now.

Part of the reason I liked the Hunts from XII is because each and every single one of them was a unique monster. Though I stretch the term loosely as palette swaps are unique by my standards, especially in comparison to the the repeated unrecolored monsters of XIV So I hope that aspect is retained.
[NOTE: I mean to say that recolors are rarer here than in XII. I guess it might be an MMO thing]
In contrast I had a minor gripe with the Rare game system (also from XII) because of the repeated palettes (save one specific case, and at least some of them were resized)
Why stop at 8. especialy considering Odin's fate and the superbosses like Yiazmat could easily make for a challenge even with 24 players.

Probably because that's the max party size and I doubt rewards will be distributed outside the party. Unless it's a FATE, and to hell with that.
I hadn't considered that. It does sound better that way and upon rechecking it they do use the plural. The way I initially read it it sounded like possibly the equivalent of 1 peisteskin map per week plus a few regular mobs to kill each day. I'm a bit more hopeful then. It felt like they were trying to severely stretch out reward acquisition, though I'm sure they are to some degree.I think they mean a new -list- of regular and elite marks is posted each day/week. well, this is going to make hunts be spamed as much as they can.Wait you buried the lead. They released info on hunts.

Of particular interest is the rewards.
Sands and oils from hunts. Interesting.

With the ability to make our own alliances in 2.3, I wonder if this system could later accommodate 24-person parties.
