Hunts - Obtaining the hunt quest locations

I just read on the Lodestone that you need to go to the Grand company HQ to obtain your hunt.

I would have thought it would be a good idea to have the ability to accept the hunts at various locations - just create a hunt board.

This would reduce amount of people cramming into one zone..... Unless they not expecting many people to do the hunts.

Of particular interest is the rewards.

Rewards include weapons, armor, minions, sands of time, oil of time, and alexandrite.

Sands and oils from hunts. Interesting.

Sounds nice and all, but really? 1 regular per day and 1 elite per week? This sounds like 5 minutes of content per day, give or take. Maybe it's more than the description makes it out to be. The rewards certainly seem to indicate that at least, though I wonder how many marks/ elite marks you'd need to down to get sand/ oil/ alexandrite.

Uh, whut? What new currency? I just read the Lodestone article and it didn't say anything about a new currency being used with the Hunt - all it mentioned is you get myth and soldiery tomes, and GC seals as a reward. But nothing mentioned about a new token system or anything for it.

players will receive rewards including Allied Seals, Allagan tomestones of mythology, and Allagan tomestones of soldiery.

allied seals would be the new currency.

Oops, my mistake - I read that as Grand Company seals. Thanks for that clarification.
