I'd then cast Blizzard to switch from fire to ice and start mana regen and then use Thunder as a filler spell until your MP regenerated enough for you to switch back to Fire--rinse and repeat. It gets really fun when you get Fire III and Blizzard III cuz you essentially have infinite mana lol IF you're utilizing your rotations properly. So... at Lvl 30, my single rotation looks like this:
Thunder II -> Fire 1 (until enough MP to just cast Blizzard) -> Blizzard -> Thunder II (Or Thunder 1, depends on how well it ticks with your regen) -> Rinse & Repeat

If you need to, you can utilize Swiftcast to get Blizzard out faster depending on your situation.
This to an extent. At this level iirc, transpose is still effective in two ways.
    1. Can go to U-Ice right away to start your ticks while you cast T I/II and or scathe to return to DPSing
    2. (to me more optimal) After you gain mp to return to DPSing, transpose before your Fire cast to put you in A-Fire for the (be it small) DPS boost of that state.

Later in the game you will see BLM's either using BlizzIII for mana regen and the transpose to go back to fire for small dps boost, or not even using BlizzIII but transpose to stay in fire, refresh dots and scathe to FIREIII>Fire spam. It's also great for AOE rotations with flare.

Play with it till you find the best personal use for it. It is a handy tool.

Also for a small dps boost, macro scathe at the end of either your blizzards or thunders or both ^^, instant cast and a little dps boost. However it does use the GCD so experiement with it. I have it macro'd to my BlizzIII so my casts are BlizzIII >immediate Scathe > Thunder II > Transpose > Fire III bla bla

Seeing as Fire III has a super quick cast time in UI3 (and will put you in AF3 instead of AF1) I don't see how Transpose is any kind of DPS boost.

Being in AF1 gives you the DPS boost to your fire spells, as we all know. It's not huge by any means, but it is a boost. Casting FireIII in UI3 will produce less dmg than if cast in AF1, even at only one stack. It's just the way it is. The info is out there in some BLM "guides" and in these forums as well.

    Snippit:
    - "Use Thundercloud and Firestarter procs as they occur (use Thunder 3 for Thundercloud). If you don't have Convert up, then skip the Flare and go straight into Bliz 3. If you get a Firestarter Proc on the last Fire in the cycle, then you want to sit on the proc through your Umbral Ice phase (you should already be halfway through your Bliz3 before the proc even registers) and Transpose once your mana is full so that the Fire 3 hits with at least Astral 1 for some additional damage instead of wasting it in Umbral 3." - Sylvrdragon

    Above is from this guide.

Really for us, it is about dealing as much as we can the best possible way we can. We are a RNG type dps. Our crits rely on the RNG, our procs and spell dmg the same.
