I really want to go but currently unemployed (and searching!) but even then I doubt I'll have enough time to save up the moolah I would need for this... talking about the UK one! :/ It sounds awesome...!

not to sound like a complete fangirl but... OMG OMG OMG I want a pic with Yoshi-P AND his autograph!!!! lol![]()
Literally nothing going on at this event that is worth the outrageous price tag.

We'll get to be within a 50ft radius of FFXIV people? Ummmmm... Oh, and we'll get to breathe the same air as our lord and savior, Yoshisus.
Maybe.
...Hopefully?

I'm worried about the number of tickets they're selling.. I go to a fairly small anime convention (small as in they limit attendance to 3,000 people) and it's almost guaranteed the hotel block will be sold out in under 10 minutes of opening. The $120 price tag doesn't bother me (heck, I spent $160 for sponsor status at the above mentioned con) I'm just really worried tickets will be gone before I can get the website to cooperate. ; ;

I wouldn't worry too much about hotels unless you're adamant about shacking at the Rio. It's Vegas after all - there are two big casinos half a block west of the Rio (Gold Coast and Palms) if you don't mind walking in the heat a bit and the Rio itself is on Flamingo Road, with a public bus stop right in front of it.I'm worried about the number of tickets they're selling.. If you're having to pay for travel and a hotel stay in Vegas, the ticket price is a drop in the bucket.
Presumably, you're not going to the event to "get your money's worth," you're going because it's likely to be a fun weekend-long experience that won't really be duplicated anywhere else. Especially so for those of us who have followed the game for years and don't go to events like PAX or E3.
I think that's the main thing we're all worried about, haha. You could book your hotel room now, at least, and cancel it (and get all of your money back) if you can't get a ticket. I expect the actual event tickets to go pretty fast, but maybe the price will thin out the demand a little bit so everyone else has a better chance of getting one.I'm worried about the number of tickets they're selling.. Oh, it's not the hotel I'm worried about; I just used that as a (bad) example. It is in fact tickets I'm worried about. It'd be nice if the price did indeed thin demand but being broke myself and planning on buying a ticket I dunno.. Haha

That's what I'm worried about too. Both me and my boyfriend are going, we got a room at the rio but I'm not sure we'll be able to get tickets. 1,800 is not a lot. I mean we'll both be staking out the site so hopefully, I just wish there was more of a chance D:
I know SE is horrifically vague when it comes to their explanations, but I would be very surprised if there is only going to be a total of 1,800 tickets. The way I interpreted it, is only 1,800 tickets are available for early access purchase on July 8th, and then general tickets can be purchased on the 15th. The July 8th availability will only be able to be bought by active players as of June 26th, so anyone who might be interested in this fan fest (because there are plenty of FF fans that may not necessarily play FFXIV) but doesn't subscribe to the game won't be able to buy until July 15th.
But then it says "tickets will sell out fast!!", so who knows. Some clarity would be nice, but I'm sure we won't get it. I just find it hard to believe that in Vegas, where there are tens of thousands of tourists at any given time, that they would limit this whole festival to under 2,000 people. 2,000 sounds like a lot, but it really isn't.
I could also be completely wrong![]()
