If the run takes 50 minutes, it clearly isn't a 20 minute run. Perhaps you forgot to factor in the time it takes to watch the cutscenes? /smile.

The devs designed the game with a feature to specifically prevent any formerly seen cutscene from EVER being played again if enabled. So yes, these players are absolutely idle, as they have seen it.

Which, as I have said before, is not an issue, so long as these same players can move ahead in the dungeon without being harassed about doing so by the... newbies.

Well, that feature you mentioned was implemented extremely recently.. like..a month ago, or something? So the game wasn't really "designed" that way. They just added it later, and you can clearly see why. The majority rules..but..the majority is not always right.

Want stuff fast? Go do dungeon that goes faster.

You're skipping over the bit where the way the game was designed *didn't work* and endgame story waiting times were putting people off paying their subs.

If you read my earlier posts you'd know that, yes, I have friends that quit the game prior to duty roulette, because they felt XIV was repeating the mistakes of XI, and that they'd have to wait around endlessly to catch up and hit endgame. They are only returning now, because I've been able to assure them that this is no longer the case.

See, you can still be nice without wasting 30 minutes doing jack squat. By allowing them to watch to their heart's content, as the rest of us clear the way. We don't harass them, they don't harass us. Easy.
