This is story where story is told once. This is not a repeatable quest or a side-quest or a secondary quest or a mini-game. You make the choice entering a story-mode environment so you are being not only selfish-about-it by stating "dragging your ass" but want to impose your-doing-of-things on the story mode. You don't see me imposing my rules on other people's modes.

Actually IT IS repeatable as many times as you like and what you were trying to do was exactly IMPOSE YOUR RULES ONTO OTHER PEOPLES PLAY MODES. You plainly state you want people to have to wait for battle until you finish your movie.
