In the Diabolos fight you get hearts above your head when the doors pull you in, as well. I guess the doors are technically seducing you. "Oh, hey there door... my your frame is so ... AH!" *sucked into the door* They must be fickle though because the relationship only lasts a few seconds.

You were just one of many in a revolving door of Diabolos's torrid affairs.

I didn't know you could think wrong..... lol. That aside.... when MOST people now-a-days think of "Cleric" they immediately attribute it to a priest/healer, as clerics in real life are? Priests/Clergy. Especially when you're dealing with people that have more recently played FFXI and WoW. The technical word Cleric isn't something that comes up much in said games and is attributed in those games to White Mage and Priest. This isnt D&D or EQ forums so can't assume people should know the things you do. When I saw Cleric stance I immediately thought of a holy caster dps mode since I DID play other games that had "Clerics" in them, but not everyone thinks the same way. As I've seen tons of people that think Cleric stance makes them heal better since they don't read it first.

Aside from that, I really do wish people would read ALL their tooltips lol. It happens in every game I've played though so I can't even blame this game for it.

I keep cleric on when I have lustrates ready to go, it will heal for the same ammount matter what stance or debuff you or target has.

I lied any debuff that lowers health

Oh I hate when I forget to turn off Cleric's Stance on my WHM, I have it on a hotkey and when I press it once it should turn it off but sometimes it doesn't (don't know why, I have to hit the key twice to get it off). I don't really look after I hit the key once, I just assume its off me :S

I actually went through an entire Brayflox speed run with it on (had it on from the previous run) and didn't even notice til I wanted to put it on at the last boss and instead turned it off xD I was like /facepalm in party chat lol

Just allow us to cancel cleric stance while GCD is on. Not being able to use it while GCD is understanable but not being able to cancel is silly.

EVERYTIME I "forget" cleric stance on, is when I actually don't forget and click it, but it was too early during GCD and hence didn't register...

we as players have no right to dictate how other players play the game, as long as their roles are fulfilled EFFECTIVELY.
so, as long as nobody dies, nor others in your team has to go extra miles to keep the group going, I think there's no point complaining about it

Mate, I'm old enough to have played first edition D&D and I did. Clerics are healers with a few offensive abilities. In EQ they're no different. Yes, they can wield a mace and cast a few offensive spells but people invited healers to parties both in tabletop and online games to heal not to DPS. Assuming you weren't of evil alignment in the former in which case they couldn't heal for shit but melted face good and proper.

Paladins again, I have played in both genres and the EQ paladin I especially loved. My forum name comes from my old dwarf EQ paladin who I stuck with through the early years right up till GoD and witnessed many changes with people's perception of that class. The one enduring definition I have of an Everquest paladin though is that it tanked better than a cleric and healed better than a warrior. I'm fairly certain it was Furor or one of his friends who came up with that.

I have been known to run without Shield Oath. Dashing in T5 to OT the Adds Spamming Flash after Flash then losing hate to BLM Flare and the party shouting "Shield Oath <_<"

Same with Cleric Stance (Fail)Healing in a Bray Speedrun with it on and the tank saying "You know Cleric Stance is on" my response "Oh no wonder I felt like I was healing in Cleric Stance, I WAS /facepalm".

So something like a faint red glow around the PC would be good and with Shield oath just a simple White Light around the PC too, I mean WAR gets that cool Wrath aura (I think).
