Why exclude people from Chocobo raising?

I honestly don't get this attitude. I'm trying to. What nefarious method is SE using to force you to pay money for XIV? To force you to level multiple 50s, to do endgame, to not craft, to not make money, to grind? Did you have to sign a contract in blood that you will never play with other people?

...is there a tiny Japanese person on your shoulder, holding a tiny gun to your temple, screaming at you in engrish to do things?

not to mention new FCs that are trying to buy a house cannot buy one because there is NO lots left on the server..... maybe adding more lots before even releasing content like this......

I highly doubt all lots are taken in the 3 areas on your server plus they've already said that there will be more wards coming in 2.3.

Last days i read much complaints that housing area´s are wastelands... some bought their houses, and some don´t bother for it due to the still high prices... **
solution - make some very important elements, like breeding - for many who don´t specialiced their choco now the only way to get a achievment and an item... available only to houseowners...

The housing features (airship , Chocobo breeding) was known since ex CEO Wada became Mr. Housing (2012). We knew that we need a chocobo stable in our garden for it, and therefore also a house to have a garden.

I believe in the Live Letter they said you can dye them with the same colors that clothing dye are.

I only hope that they will eventually do the chocobreeding and gardening on the personal houses and that you can get a decent sized house, not the one room mog house from FFXI. It sounds like the furnishings and such wont affect you at all either, thats a bit disappointing. Still can't wait for all these systems to get flushed out!

Disagree... looking forward to meld my Novus, i won´t be able to afford that ^^ same to all FC members, which where i am one of the ppl with more money...

we even have one who is so broke he regularly has no gil for teleport xD

I don't understand how people are lacking money in this game. You can literally (yes I'm using this word correctly) make 30,000 gil a day JUST from duty roulette and dailies. If you're a player who can't scrape together money for teleports and repairs, much less a house, you're either fantastically lazy, grossly ignorant, or both.

So many of you jumped on this as some sort of 'OMG I can't get everything right now or OMG I want everything as a solo player' post, neither of which is the case.

The majority of my time is spent in group activities because that's where the fun is. I won't join an FC just to get a house because FC's are more important than that. A good FC is about having fun with a group of people you respect and are on the same wavelength as you, until I find that FC I guess I'll just have to miss out, though I still don't see why it has to be tied to FC housing?

To those of you giving advice on how to make money and set up your own FC, thank you I know it isn't unreasonable, I already have 1.5 mil, I have all crafting classes maxed, I can make the rest , I guess I'd rather just find that elusive FC I can call home with a home

I appreciate there are those who see this as something rightfully theres because they worked for it as an FC, but as this thread has pointed out again and again, a solo player can make that kind of money and get an FC house. On Odin there is plenty of space with some plots under the 2 mil mark, I could have one next week but seriously I don't want an FC for a house I want an FC for the FC.

I actually like how its tied to housing. I think it should only be to the personal housing though and not to the FC. I also think it would be better if there was a new DoH or DoL job to come with each the chocobreeding (Beastmaster) and the Gardening (Farmer) that would make it more than just a quick side thing.

The thing to remember is this is just the foundation of the systems they are putting in place. They will be flushed out and expanded upon as the game grows. Offer advise and input but there is no need to think that this is all we will get and it will never expand beyond what we are speculating before the system is even released.
