And that is entirely incorrect because stat weights don't mean anything when infusing. Every +1 is just a plain old 1/75 regardless of stat weights.

I'm referring to the end stats. To get 31 points of DET on your Bravura Novus, you're only going to have 31 points for your other secondary stats. If you want to use 31 of your infusions on Determination, you're only going to get 22 DET on your final weapon. If the devs were dumb enough to actually allow DET *not* scale, there would be no reason to have any other stat taking up your 44 because it's worth so much more on a point for point basis.
