I'm referring to the end stats. To get 31 points of DET on your Bravura Novus, you're only going to have 31 points for your other secondary stats. If you want to use 31 of your infusions on Determination, you're only going to get 22 DET on your final weapon. If the devs were dumb enough to actually allow DET *not* scale, there would be no reason to have any other stat taking up your 44 because it's worth so much more on a point for point basis.

It doesn't work like that. 31 infusions = 31 det. Same goes for piety. Novus doesn't take into account stat weights.

Someone has already completed a 44crit/31det novus bow. It's somewhere toward the end of the big novus thread in the general forums. EDIT: someone beat me to it above.

But realistically, you probably should have already seen this coming. *If* they were going to weight the resultant stats, then det would cap at 44 infusions and get scaled back to 31. They would not have capped the infusions at 31 and then applied the stat weight penalty too.

EDIT: nvm on materia tiers, I read the initial quote wrong.

Anyhow, I'm probably going to go the cheap route and do a relatively equal split between parry, accuracy and det.
