Nothing or no one is spared the wrath of Zantetsuken. If Odin really, really wanted to get into Gridania there wouldn't be a problem. :P

As powerful as the Conjurers are, I doubt even they have the power to outmatch an Elder Primal. A regular primal like Ramuh not being enhanced by Ascian artifacts? Sure. But an Elder Primal on par in combat ability with the likes of Bahamut and Belial? Not happening.

If I remember right, during the Odin sidequest everyone from Hearers to Wood Wailers are scared stiff of the Elder Primal attacking Gridania. They outright admit that if Odin wanted to attack the city, there's not really anything they could do to stop him.

Lol, this reminds me of the Atomos event in 1.0, when Atomos and a ton a level 50 mobs would spawn right at Horizon's aetheryte, wiping out all the level 20's trying to get XP. Good times!Do I think "Hopelessness" should pop in Gridania when it pops in the Shroud? Absolutely. But do I think it should spawn Odin in Gridania? Unless it spawns in a large enough area where newbies aren't likely to tread (i.e. the Botanist Guild's farm), then I'd rather it didn't just for their sake of keeping the streets of Gridania clean of the shit-stained trousers of everyone under level 50.

I was in a similar event in DCUO. Random Level 30 (the cap in that game) mobs started showing up everywhere, including areas between me and my quest objectives. No idea how many times I got killed just trying to do quests.

Rar, rar, back in my day we walked to school thru 10 feet of snow up hill both ways with our feet wrapped in burlap rags because we couldn't afford shoes. Seriously if you think there is no more fun in the game what are you doing playing? It would be fun. So, not happening. Fun is banned forever from XXI Century gaming. What is sold as "fun" now is boring questing (it's always KILL TEN RATS AND/OR FETCH THEIR TAILS, really), endless grinds, unplayable raids, awful PvP. Some older person like me still wanders more or less aimlessly thru games, looking at pretty pictures and hoping to snatch just a few moments of the fun we used to have in the ol' days of yore, when at least some devs cared. :P

Okay so you can fight Odin as a crafter? I'll fight him with my magical sewing needle then.
Anyway, if this is made official then Gridania's zone would have to change from rested to the adventuring zones with monsters. You would get the global cooldown everytime you changed in town if Odin was allowed to spawn in the city. That just would be so stupid.

Bah you had it easy, I was a genetically made clone, being chased around by my blond headed psychopath of a brother who for some reason had to over enunciate "sn" sounds and me always being completely lost...Metal gear?
Go for the eyes!
To those that were in early beta you may have remembered a in city monster spawn test. So it is physically possible, and if the whole area is changed to a battle area the rules of reset would go into effect (Your locked in your class/job).

I would prefer something different. While I am rarely in the Shroud and barely ever in Coerthas, I visit Gridania, Ul'dah and La Noscea regularly. Result is, I never get to fight with Behemoth and Odin because I have no clue when they are up. I was once in a linkshell but only heard shouts for Odin, Behemoth FATE up was always unnoticed.
So why not make two special weather conditions in all three capital cities which indicate that Odin or Behemoth are up? Or maybe one weather condition and you have to find out which of the two is up. Downside could be, if too many people go there, the Server will most probably crash lol. I play FF14ARR for almost a Year now and have beaten Odin once. Behemoth I saw two times but it was on the PS3 so it was epic lag fail. I like both fights and they should't be THAT rare.
