provided the world you are transferring to isnt full
rehire/remake your retainers even if you only had 1 hire them both(since you're char is a 1.0 char they wont give you a choice if you had retainers before the servers went down)
do not log out in the inn before the transfer

I think your problem is that you had retainers in 1.0(You never said otherwise) that you never rehired. We're not talking about hiring NEW retainers, just the ones you had in 1.0, if any.

I did make one in 1.0, although whether I still had it or let it go for some reason before 1.0 went down I don't recall, it's been a long time. I don't have any rehire option, just the option to make a brand new one. I guess I'll do that and report back. Thanks for all the feedback so far everyone.

that is how you rehire them. I suggest making 2 just incase. you get 2 included with your account for each character anyway
