    Ya the bad Ninjas will most likely be the people who cannot master the Symbol system to use Ninja skills.

    Current classes/jobs now only require the push of a button but here with Ninja you'll have to perform a mini-quick time event to cast your skills with the symbol system.

    They would need to be quite strong, or it wouldn't be any point in using them, or your DPS would drop a lot.

    Well, since i mostly go as DRG, i don't really see those other shitty DRG, that ppl are talking about
    I see a lot of shitty PLD though...like trying to tank Titan, with Riot Blade (holding aggro is really hard)
    But i have seen some MNKs that dont position themselves, and heard about DRG using chaos thrust, without combo.

    If it works like the monk combos, macroing them would be a bad idea.

    I don't think it wil be a QTE but rather that each skill will give a mudra and you will have to perform the skills in a particular order to get the good mudra combo and be able to use the finisher.

    For mudras to not feel clunky they would have to be all off the global cooldown. The mudras themselves probably don't do anything on their own (judging by the video that sees the ninja cast a series of them before actually attacking) so if they were on the GCD the ninja would be standing there doing nothing for 5-10s each combo... I really don't see that happening.

    The macroing of specific combos is a potential problem though... the only way I see of getting around that is by allowing for specific mudras to act as modifiers that would make it much more desirable to be able to change the combos as the situation requires (so a combo using a certain set does a single target ice attack whilst switching one element in the combo makes it aoe, etc.).

    Honestly what I find odd about this system is that it's actually very similar to the puppetmaster's mechanic in FFXI.

    I have to say no to combat macros. They are very unreliable, don't trigger off global cool downs correctly and can't be set to have a decimal value. You'd never be able compared to someone who memorized everything and does it manually.
