Regarding if it makes sense or not. Anima, teleporting and Aether is not bound by magic. It has its own Lore behind it.Make teleporting a high level mage job. It makes no sense a pugilist with no magic ability can teleport. it will make having a mage on team as more important than just AOE cureing. a lot is lot I think when you can just teleport.
Dont get me wrong right now it is a god send. but this is what chocobos and airships are for....
Anima will probably stay the same and with the probability or the cost of return being removed, I'd say anima will remain as it is.
I agree with this, but not in such an extreme case. I'd like to see something like 4 teleports per day maximum once chocobos and airships are here, and warping to your homepoint to be unlimited.Make teleporting a high level mage job. Like I said earlier, I don't mind a world without anima.
I'd much rather ride the airship from city to city, and a chocobo from city to outpost. Make teleportation only in super remote areas.
I'm casual, but I absolutely loved running through areas on chocobo with my party in FFXI, no matter how many times we've been there before.

you only like this system because its the only thing holding this broken game together is being able to fast travel. but it should be done away with
MAGIC MUSHY ROOMS
Why should the option to travel fast in order to play the game with the time they have to play instead of using the time they have to play to only travel be removed?
Just because YOU enjoy using all your game time traveling??
No.
Would you tell your child they can only play with a toy the way YOU enjoy playing with a toy?
No.

all of your comments are incredibly lame and very lazy sighted. Just because YOU can't manage YOUR time doesn't mean WE should have to endure such a poor game design in order to cater to YOUR laziness. Why don't YOU go away because WE don't want to read your extreme one sighted comments anymore. WE don't want to be hassled by people who prefer to use their ridiculous 100 anima point teleport everywhere when WE want to ride a chocobo or airship and look at the scenery because WE like adventuring. Why should the option to travel fast in order to play the game with the time they have to play instead of using the time they have to play to only travel be removed?

Why so defensive? I said I don't care either way. Whether they remove it or not would not make any difference to me.
Anyway, just about the only place I disliked running in FFXI was the entire Yhoator/Yutunga/Uggalepih areas. I can't count how many times we got lost and ended up running in a huge circle.
It was still fun, though, because of my group. I literally fell off my chair laughing when someone finally realized we kept seeing the same exact Ivory Lizards and Opopos and commented on it.

So, working a full time job and raising 3 kids while taking care of a sick family member is lazy?
Only being able to play an hour maybe 3 a week because a player has a real life is lazy?
A player who prefers to use the small amount of game time they have to play the game instead of traveling is lazy?
You already have the option in the game to use all of your game time traveling if that is what you enjoy.
Stop trying to take away an option in the game we have to use what little game time we have playing the game and not traveling.
Grow up.
I actually figured out how to navigate that area after a while. they should build it in to FFXIV so i can relive the tortureWhy so defensive? I said I don't care either way. Whether they remove it or not would not make any difference to me.
