I started my soldiery gear right away when it went live, never missed any (except maybe 50 one week) and just finished the full healer set this week. I also have a bard, black mage and summoner. Sorry, but the i100 gear from CT will be awesome for helping to gear my alt jobs.

As Scholar you're probably satisfied with the Soldiery gear... As White Mage, I hope the CT2 healer set will provide more suitable stats.

Yoshi doesn't make the patches by himself...while he's on the road doing PR the rest of the team is building the patch. How much grunt work does your manager do at work if you have one? All he has to do most likely is go back and put his stamp on everything as it's finished. It sounds like Frontlines is proving a difficult animal to tame considering they had to renege on a previous statement and delay queueing full premade into CT to 2.35 just to deal with the DF side of it.

I wish people would stop thinking that the game devs can just snap their fingers and make everything work properly.

Oh yeah, that's a very good point as well. I play both white mage and scholar, and the Daystar pieces are definitely more suited for scholar, while the High Allagan more suited for white mage. Hopefully, the CT2 gear is well thought out to accomodate both.

I haven't started any Evenstar yet (will be this week), but I'm guessing it's like Daystar where it may be better for a black mage or summoner, but not as good for the other?

Pretty much. Evenstar is great for BLM, "meh" at best for SMN due to it stacking spellspeed - an utterly useless on stat on SMN

Black Mages lose out on a lot of determination by getting the Evenstar set. The spell speed is nice but the overall set isn't that balanced to suit either or.

To be fair, they indirectly mention holden saucer in that it will involve chocobo racing.
