COME ON?! Seriously?!
All I hear on my server from friends is no one is doing PVP and its always empty. So why is PVP based classes/job more important that a class/job that's been promised for YEARS?!?!

Because yoship used to be a hardcore DAOC player that loved PVP.

That's fine for him, but I've played FFXI since pretty much the start and FFXIV since Alpha 1.0. PvP was never a really big thing to FF players from what I have seen in FFXI. No one really did it, unless it was a LS going in half and half to just mess with one another. And in FFXIV all I hear people say is no one does PVP and most that I know aren't really interested, except maybe to beat up other FC members for fun.
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong and it's just my server. To me it seems like he wants it to be something people do because he likes it... but it's never been a very 'Final Fantasy' thing, it seems... but I can't speak for everyone, just what I have seen/heard.
Myself, I have never been a big PVP'er and have no interest in it really, unless my friends drag me into it. Though Musketeer is the whole reason I wanted to play this job, and almost 4 years later I'm still waiting. To be honest, I'm kinda sick of waiting.
